Fieldwork 2008 | ||
Excavations at Pulleyhour 2008 The working day will be from 9.30 am to 5 pm every day except Thursdays which will be the day-off weather permitting. Volunteers are welcome; no experience is necessary - bring a packed lunch etc. and wet weather gear -expect to get muddy. The excavation will be directed by Professor Richard Bradley of Reading University. The Pullyhour site is thought to be a small henge (a bank and ditch earthwork); it was probably built for ceremonial purposes. For further details, contact Paul Humphreys on 01847 851 275 |
